Idol CMTDG is taking all the best elements of such shows as Canadian Idol and So You Think You Can Dance and mashing them together with a healthy dose of musical theatre to bring you 3 evenings of riotous parody! We invite you to witness the spectacle of some of Winnipeg’s finest performers, wearing the shoes of such characters as they have chosen to create, as they fill the roles of your host, judges and the finalists for the evening. It promises to be an event filled with hilarious parody, ridiculous stereotype and absurd drama the likes of which Winnipeg has never seen! The show includes video footage of the “selection process”, interviews with the finalists and judges and even an opportunity to vote at the end of the evening for your favourite performer. So come be a spectator to this battle of musical titans as our 12 finalists vie for the ultimate title of Musical Theatre Idol! Who will YOU vote for? |
